Quality system in the Istrian Development Agency (IDA) Ltd.

The Istrian Development Agency (IDA) Ltd. is the first Croatian regional development agency with a certified quality management system developed in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001:2000.

The certification was conducted by SGS ICS and on 22 March 2004 the certificate of conformity of IDA's quality management system with the requirements of this international standard was issued. IDA has since renewed the certificate several times in accordance with the provisions of the standard.

The quality management system has been implemented in order to put into practice the  quality management policy and to ensure compliance of the process of promotion of small and medium sized entrepreneurship in the Region of Istria with the requirements of the service beneficiaries/entrepreneurs and the norm ISO 9001:2000.

Quality Policy

The purpose of the quality management system is to ensure the following:

  • the required quality while carrying out activities of promoting of small and medium sized entrepreneurship in the Region of Istria
  • precise, accurate and timely performance of all activities (main and ancillary) to encourage small and medium sized entrepreneurship in the Region of Istria

Management Representative

The duties, responsibilities and rights of management representatives include:

  • identifying ways to maintain and improve the quality management system, and its adaptation to the needs and activities of IDA Ltd.,
  • verifying the effectiveness of the quality management system (such as the effectiveness and relevance of the system documents, etc.),
  • improving and encouraging of actions that prevent the occurrence of inappropriate activities while carrying out of regular business activities,
  • control the implementation of problem solutions and control corrective actions.

The management of IDA Ltd. has appointed a Professional Advisor to be its Management Representative - a person authorised and responsible for the effective implementation and maintenance of the quality system.

The management of IDA Ltd has granted its Professional Advisor the powers and responsibilities necessary for:

  1. implementation and maintenance of the quality system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000,
  2. reporting to the Management on the effects of the quality system for the purpose of evaluation and improvement of the system;
  3. proposing and initiating activities aimed at the continuous improvement of the quality system.

The Management Representative's responsibilities are:

  • to monitor and ensure the implementation of all the required activities that are included in the quality management system,
  • promoting awareness about the requirements of the service beneficiaries/entrepreneurs and the requirements of ISO 9001:2000,
  • reporting and informing employees about the implementation and effectiveness of the quality management system,
  • monitoring and ensuring that all employees understand the quality management system,
  • to analyze and correct the existing situation with the members of the working group / Management through an independent internal audit of the quality management system
  • to supervise and ensure the maintenance and documenting of the quality management system
