The CoRIn (Coordinating Regional Primary Sector Policies for Boosting Innovation) project focused on the analysis and the advancement of regional policies in the primary sector, with the aim to stimulate investment into research and innovation.

The final goal of the project was the improvement of regional policies and management processes, with an objective of raising the efficiency of interventions and investments in technology research and development through systematic evaluation, transfer of knowledge and improvement of coordination between the partner regions.

The partners in the project were EURIS, the Regions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna, Izpalnitelna agencia po ribarstvo i akvakulturi (Agency for Fishery and Aquaculture), the Istrian Development Agency, the PORIN Regional Development Agency, Univerzitetni inkubator Primorske, PodjetniĆĄko in poslovno svetovanje (the University Incubator of the Primorska Region, Entrepreneurship and Business Consulting Ltd.) and the Macedonia Research Centre.

The project was launched on 1st October 2006 and its implementation lasted 18 months.

CoRIn was funded from the European Commission's Sixth Framework Programme.
