The project Hives (High level for Innovation and Value-driven Exploitation of a joint S 3 and the Adriatic area) has been approved for funding under the Programme 2007-2013 targeted competition European strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian region (EUSAIR).

The main objective of the project HIVES is capitalization of experience gained from already implemented projects within the Adriatic cross-border cooperation through the exchange and harmonization of the relevant data relating to the four priority pillars of EUSAIR strategy. This enhances the long-term impact of cross-border cooperation through the exchange of data and information on research, technologies and business opportunities in the area of smart specialization strategy (S3). The total budget of the project amounts to € 1,050,000.00 while the IDA and intended 90,000.00 euros of which the EU co-finances 85%.

The leading partner of the project is the University of Teramo, Italy, and other partners with IDA; Marche Region, Faculty of Polytechnics Marche region, Punto Europa consortium Cope, the Regional Development Agency for Economic Development (BIH) Chamber of Commerce of Chieti and the University of Donja Gorica.
